“Dinner?” she asked stupidly.
A sexy grin formed on his lips, heating her body even more. “Yes, dinner. As in I take you out for a good meal, then we see how things go from there.”
Treasure knew how she wanted the rest of the evening to go, but the big question was should she go out with Soren? She was without a doubt attracted to him, and he seemed to be interested in her as well, but he was going to be a client, since he wanted the penthouse. She had a personal rule where she didn’t date any client of hers—ever. As a real estate agent, she counted on having the people she sold properties to come back if they decided to sell. If she were to date one and then have the relationship fall through, that was one less commission check for her. Treasure had to decide whether a date with Soren would be worth it to break that longstanding rule.
Looking into his handsome face, seeing his eyes heavy lidded with desire, she wavered.
“I don’t know,” she said.
“It’s not that hard of a question,” Soren responded. “Just a simple yes or no will suffice, though I would strongly urge you to say yes.”
He definitely wasn’t making this easy on her. He leaned over a bit more, causing her to bend slightly back. His lips came nearer to hers, and her gaze became locked on them. She drew in a shaky breath. Soren smelled of the cologne he wore and a scent that was all male. Her pussy clenched and wetness leaked into her thong. She was on the brink of throwing herself into his arms and begging him to take her right there and then. And wouldn’t that be professional?
Needing some space between them, so she’d be able to think straight once again, Treasure pushed Soren away, walked out of the bathroom and into the bedroom. The bed seemed to loom before her, giving her wicked thoughts.
She jumped when Soren trailed a finger down the back of her arm. She hadn’t even heard him come up behind her. Treasure turned to face him. She knew he waited for an answer, but she wasn’t ready to give him one just yet. There was business to finish first.
“If you really want the penthouse,” she said, “then we can go to my office and fill out the paperwork to place an offer.”
He shook his head and chuckled. “Shouldn’t we settle the first offer before we start on the second?”
“No. Business first, then pleasure.”
“You could at least give me a hint as to what your answer will be for dinner.”
Soren’s gaze swept the entire length of her body, causing goose bumps to break out all over her skin. Looking into his eyes, seeing the tamped-down hunger simmering just below the surface, Treasure knew she wouldn’t be strong enough to resist him for very long.
She licked her dry lips and Soren’s gaze followed the movement. “The best I can do is tell you maybe,” she said.
“Do you always put business before pleasure?” he asked huskily.
“Always. I wouldn’t be as good a real estate agent as I am if I didn’t.”
It was true. Treasure always made sure all her work was done before she took time to enjoy other things. And since she was an agent, the business part tended to take up more time than the pleasure. Her being on call if someone wanted to see a listing, along with having open houses on the weekends, didn’t give her a lot of free time. The amount of hours a week she put into her job had pissed off more than a few boyfriends until they eventually wanted out of the relationship. Not that Treasure had minded. She hadn’t met a man yet who she’d give up her career for. She worked hard at what she did—and was damn good at it—so she wouldn’t just up and leave it.
“I guess I can’t fault you for wanting to be a success,” Soren said with a smile. “How about this? Since you are such a career-minded woman, what if I were to make an offer on the penthouse, for the full asking price with the condition I get possession by the end of the week. And…” He let his words trail off and shifted to stand toe-to-toe with her. “And you say you’ll go out with me.”
“What if I say no?”
“Then I might have to rethink the whole offer thing.”
Treasure gnawed on her bottom lip. It was as if Soren knew exactly what button to push to get her to agree. She didn’t want to lose the offer. With him willing to pay the full asking price, she stood to earn a hefty commission.
She looked at Soren, already knowing what her answer would be. And it wasn’t just because of what she stood to lose money-wise. She really didn’t want to turn down an evening with the man in front of her. The ones who looked like him didn’t come around too often. Plus she hadn’t been out on a date in some time. Now that she thought about it, it had to be at least nine months since she’d been on her last one.
With a nod, she said, “You drive a hard bargain, but it’s a deal. We’ll go to my office now and start the offer. After I present it to my other client, you can take me to dinner.” Treasure stuck out her hand to seal the deal, but Soren didn’t take it.
He shook his head. “A handshake isn’t going to cut it this time.”

4 Hearts: This is another of Marisa Chenery's werewolf stories where a wolf finds their true mate and has to figure out how to deal with overpowering mating urges while still finding time to tell them the truth about what they are before they bond. While the stories in this series, "Big City Pack, Oh, Canada" and some of Chenery's other series, follow the same general theme, each story of meeting, mating, and understanding that the werewolves of legends are real are distinctly unique and utterly enjoyable. A fun story that you'll want to read in a single sitting. Another great one from Marisa Chenery.--Kathy F., The Romance Studio
3.75 Stars: Marisa Chenery brings some seriously sexy werewolves to the Great White North, but readers needn’t worry about the cold because this was one scorching hot read. The chemistry between the two characters was solid. The setting was wonderfully detailed and the supporting characters engaging.--PaulineMichael, Night Owl Review
5 Cups: Marisa Chenery once again gives the world an erotic tale of a werewolf and his mate. Treasure and Soren are two expertly crafted characters who draw the reader into the hunt for a mate. Soren has a weakness that endears him to the reader and keeps the reader along for the ride. So pick up Werewolf’s Treasure, buckle in and come along for the treasure hunt.--Delane, Coffee Time Romance
4 Cherries: This fast paced story is a cute read. The romance between Treasure and Soren begins right from the start. I loved the interaction between the two. Werewolf’s Treasure is a great continuation of this series. Seeing the other werewolves and their mates from the previous books was a nice treat and it was nice to visit with the others from the pack again. I loved seeing Soren find his mate and cannot wait to see who will be the next to find theirs.--Mistletoe, Whipped Cream
4 Hoots: This 70 page read is nothing but wonderful! Ms. Chenery knows how to grab the reader from page one and keeps you obsessed with turning the pages right up until the very last one. I didn’t have that feeling of ‘that’s it?’ with this novella that I usually do. I feel Ms. Chenery covered all her bases and I was left feeling fulfilled and thoroughly satiated. I am now going to go back and get my hands on the first two books in the series; you should too!--Rayna, Nocturne Romance Reads
Treasure and Soren meet up in Werewolf’s Treasure and discover just what a lasting love can be. Soren’s predicaments had me smiling more than once. After all who else would find a mate who lives in a place that is his own personal hell? What had me knowing just how much Soren loved Treasure and would do anything for a future together were his actions to prove his love for her. Werewolf’s Treasure brings hot passion and humor together in a couple that knows just what to do with it.--Jo, Joyfully Reviewed
