...must add to your TBR - To Be Read list. Brings Egyptian gods to present day life and is one hot number. The Blue Lotus is one of those books that I just didn't want to end and I can't wait to see if there will be a sequel. Ms. Chenery delivers a book that is totally different from anything else I've read and I'll be looking for more works by her.

...clearly draws on elements both paranormal and somewhat historical. ...is a curious tale... Sexual scenes are powerful and well-written, fitting well with the plot. ...is intriguing--largely because it uses mystical elements that are offbeat, even among other paranormals.

You will be right there experiencing every excruciating moment as these two strong characters fight the Gods to save the world...takes the reader from Kendra’s tiny living room all the way to the pyramids of Egypt. The talented Ms. Chenery sweeps the reader away without ever having to leave the house. Bravo to Ms. Chenery for bringing this romantic tale to life.

Ancient Egyptians and modern day humans make for an interesting storyline. Nefertem is exactly how you would picture an Egyptian god. He is fearsome, strong, and passionate, and certainly tall, dark, and handsome. The heat between them is intense and Nefertem’s inner cat only makes it hotter.

...a wonderful blend of love, suspense, and mystery. This story is so well written that it sucks you right in from the very beginning. Jacqueline is such a strong female that you just know she is not going to take things lying down. I highly recommend it to readers that love historical romances.

For readers who love knights and ladies of long-ago England, A TOURNAMENT KNIGHT will be a treat. By page five I wanted to know the fate of all the interesting people I’d been introduced to. The love scenes are very spicy...I enjoyed the trip back into 14th century England and, of course, enjoyed the unraveling of the web that allowed all the “good guys” to live happy-ever-after.

Marisa Chenery does an exemplary job at bringing that world to life with her careful detail to the nuances of the sport. Jacqueline is a strong heroine...She manages to be self-sufficient without losing a whit of femininity and it was great fun to watch her turn olde England on its ear as she bravely forges towards her goals.Terric complements her without appearing soft or patronizing, it is clear that theirs is a match well made.

Rating:  3.5/4 Books

I love stories that portray strong women that can take care of business, and this one fits the bill. The chemistry between Beowulf and Roxie is intense and passionate. The intrigue is engaging; there are secrets and twists, and she teases you just enough to keep you interested. If you appreciate tales of werewolves and women who can kick butt, give this one a try.

Title:  Beowulf and Roxie

This story contains action, excitement of many kinds, and more than a bit of humor. The author really has a gift for writing hot love scenes, but I really enjoyed how Roxie stands up to the big bad werewolves and wins. You will love reading how she handles the extremely strange situations she finds herself in and the sexy wolf she falls in love with.

Beowulf and Roxie is nothing like the ode I read in high school. Their bonding was shiverlicious and the sex was heady. It was enough to make me sweat. Thumbs up Ms. Chenery on giving a new twist to an extremely old English tale.

Ms. Chenery has written a novel that I believe every woman can relate to. The pace is driven by the numerous plot twists, smokin’ sex, and the changing relationships amongst the cast of characters. Once I started reading, I couldn't stop. This one is definitely headed for my keeper shelf as one of my favorites. I can't wait to read more from Ms. Chenery!

Marisa Chenery pens a brilliant, erotic story that kept me on the edge of my seat. Beowulf And Roxie is a laugh a minute as Beowulf refuses to allow Roxie to return to her hermit lifestyle. I am hoping that Ms. Chenery plans a sequel, as I would love to see what happens next!
