Another Book Sold

Posted by Marisa Chenery - June 23rd, 2009

Today I signed my 9th contract with Liquid Silver Books. This one is for the first book in my new werewolf series called Roxie’s Protectors-Roan’s Fall. I plan to write another five books for this series. One for each of the male werewolf warriors I introduced in Wulf’s Den-His She-Wolf Warrior. I figured each one of them deserved to have his own story written :) . I don’t have a blurb written for this yet. Well, I do, but I’m not really happy with it. Once I get the cover I’ll post the better blurb then. I guess I should also start thinking about written the second book in the series.

Website Makeover

Posted by Marisa Chenery - April 13th, 2009

Today I launched my totally made over website. I decided it was time for a change. I had the first format for over a year, so it was time :) . It also gave me a good excuse to play in HTML and Photoshop. A couple things I like to play around with, in between writing of course :) . If you want to check out my new and improved website you can check it out HERE. So far I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on it. And more than one comment about the hottie I used in my header at the top of each page :) . He was one stock photo I couldn’t resist getting as my own.

A New Contract

Posted by Marisa Chenery - March 16th, 2009

I was offered a contract from Liquid Silver Books for Book Five in my werewolf series, which I have now called my Wulf’s Den series. This one is called His She-Wolf Warrior and is Eli’s story. His twin brother, Finn, had his story in Book Four-Mated to a Wolf. His She-Wolf Warrior also introduces six new werewolf warriors who will be featured in my new spin off series called Roxie’s Protectors. I now just have to figure out which warrior’s story I want to write first in the series :) .

Egyptian Shifters 4 - Duau, The Lion of Tomorrow Released

Posted by Marisa Chenery - February 19th, 2009

Egyptian Shifters 4 - Duau, The Lion of Tomorrow The fourth story in my Egyptian Shifters series at Siren Publishing, Duau, The Lion of Tomorrow was released today. This the last short story in the series. I noticed that I forgot to post about the 3rd story’s, Egptian Shifters 3 - Sef, The Lion of Yesterday, being released last Thursday. Oops ha ha. All four short stories will be released as a print collection in trade paperback sometime this April. I’m sort of kicking around the idea of writing another four short stories, but this time the shifters will be Egyptian Goddesses. Have to see if I can make the time to write them from all the other books I want to write :) .

You can find Egyptian Shifters 3 HERE and Egyptian Shifters 4 HERE. I’ll post the blurbs for both below since I forgot to post it for #3 last week.

Egyptian Shifters 3 - Sef, The Lion of Yesterday Blurb:

Separated from his twin when a demon traps them in the mortal realm, Sef falls for the mortal woman who nursed him back to health while unable to shift from his lion form. Unable to return to the underworld where he and his twin brother Duau guard its gate, Sef fears an attack that is sure to come.

A vet, Chandra takes in many exotic animals that have been mistreated by owners that don’t know how to look after them. When she accepts the lion that had been captured in a farmer’s field, she sees something in the lion’s eyes that reaches out to her. Never did she expect the lion to shift into Sef, one half of the Egyptian god Aker.

When the demon finds Sef and takes him and Chandra to the underworld, Chandra has to make the ultimate sacrifice for the man she loves.

Egyptian Shifters 4 - Duau, The Lion of Tomorrow Blurb:

Unable to shift out of lion form, Duau is stuck in the mortal realm, separated from his twin brother, Sef. Weak from wounds received in battle with the demons that trapped him, he finds help in the form of the mortal woman who takes him in as a lion.

Darcie takes the wounded lion into her home against her better judgment. When he shifts into human form and tells her he is an Egyptian god, she falls for the immortal she has taken in. But can an immortal ever come to love a mortal?

Stuck in the mortal realm and unable to find his twin, Duau knows Darcie is his mate, but she would never survive the underworld where he must return. Can he give up the mortal woman who has his heart, or will he be the death of her?

Mated to a Wolf is out

Posted by Marisa Chenery - February 9th, 2009

Mated to a Wolf Mated to a Wolf, Book Four in my werewolf series at Liquid Silver Books was released today. You can find it HERE on their website. Now I have to start thinking about getting started on Book Five :) .

Blurb:

Finn York had a bad experience with werewolves. Marked emotionally and physically from the experience, his aversion causes him to fight the attraction he feels for the female werewolf he meets at Wulf’s Den. Yet her scent draws him with the irresistible power of a werewolf’s mating instinct.

Jocelyn works as a waitress at Wulf’s Den. She’d noticed Finn months before but the sudden changes in him confuse her. When she serves him drinks one night he growls and sniffs the air as if he can smell her arousal and Jocelyn’s confusion escalates. But her interest in Finn heightens and she plots a way to force him to overlook his disgust to claim her as his mate.

Egyptian Shifters 2 Has Been Released

Posted by Marisa Chenery - February 5th, 2009

Egyptian Shifters 2 - Judgment by Anubis The second short story in my Egyptian Shifters series, Judgment by Anubis, at Siren Publishing was released today. As you can tell from the title, Anubis finds his mate in this story. You can find it at Siren’s website HERE.

Blurb:

While in a coma, Jinny finds herself standing before the Egyptian god Anubis to be judged. After shifting from his half man/half jackal form, Jinny is instantly attracted to the man, falling for his dark, good looks.

Anubis is drawn to the mortal woman he is to judge. As he starts to lose his heart to Jinny he delays passing judgment, keeping her lingering between two worlds–the realm of the living and the underworld where he dwells.

The longer Anubis puts of his judgment the weaker Jinny becomes until he is forced to make his decision. His choice–he either lets her return to the realm of the living, or let her remain in the underworld, which would mean her death.
